MARGE 16th October 2007

"MY AUNT NORMA" "My Aunt Norma" was the most beautiful woman I ever knew! She was gorgeous through and through. If you had a problem she knew exactly what to do. That's because she truly cared about all of us. Very seldom did she make a fuss. She was nothing like Guv, he was an ornery old cuss. "Aunt Norma" decided she loved "THE DOYLE'S SHELF" best. She enjoyed everything I gave her. but the shelf stood out above the rest. "Aunt Norma" enjoyed sitting and admiring her & Uncle Don's 47th Wedding Anniversary clock. She'd sit in Grandma's chair, bend forward and stare. The love of Grandma & "Aunt Norma" none can compare. They loved all of us un-conditionally, and were always there. To love "Aunt Norma" the way we did without a "Good-bye", sure wasn't fair. They loved Wilma doing their hair. "Aunt Norma" liked hearing her clock go tick tock. It was so pretty on their dining room wall, so she was proud to show it to you all. It still makes me angry that poor sweet Grandma took that awful fall. I don't blame her for giving up and leaving it all. I'll never forget how she enjoyed "THE NORTH PARK MALL". She, Jeannie & I had a ball. "AUNT NORMA" Enjoyed watching old santa sing & dance about as much as "Uncle Don". She told Wilma she could look at Shirley all day long. Grandma used to say "Jeannie" was no bigger then a minute, and "Aunt Norma" used to say she was no bigger then a pound of soap. I hope this Christmas brings all of you Peace, Joy, & Hope. I had "Aunt Norma" hooked on Precious Moments as we all know. That's why each of her 7 kid's got one for Christmas this year from me in her memory. To be without "Aunt Norma" this Christmas will be quite a blow. I understand your pain I want you to know. I just pray that everybody will get through the day ok, and hopefully it'll snow to help lighten the blow. God will be with each of us, that much I do know. "Aunt Norma" enjoyed her beautiful "Jesus wall grouping", and all of her fiber optic stuff. Losing her is like a diamond in the rough. "This Christmas isn't going to be easy for any of us". It's going to be "Tough". Poem by: Marge Hillgartner Norma Doyle's niece 12-25-05
