Thoughts
When my Grandma Phillips passed away Aunt Norma told me that Mike Wright saw the light swaying at the church during her funeral service. I just happened to be at Aunt Norma's one day when Mike was there and she had Mike tell me about it. So, when Aunt Norma passed away I was sitting there during her service watching that light. I knew that she would give us a sign that she was ok if she could and all of a sudden I saw the light move real slow from side to side. I nudged my sister Shirley and pointed to the light and she saw it too.
Not too long after Aunt Norma died my sister Shirley & I were out decorating all the graves. It was one super hot day. We shouldn't have even been out there because it was dangerously hot. As I was decorating Aunt Norma's grave Shirley told me to look up at the sky and I did. There was the most beautiful light coming straight down from the sky that I had ever seen in my whole life and the weird thing was that we could look straight into it without it hurting our eyes and the light was only shining directly on us as we stood at her grave. We both got goose bumps and it was probably close to 100 degrees out there that day! It was definitely a sign to us that she saw us out there and she gave us the sign that she was ok just as she did at the church by swinging the light. I've NEVER experienced anything like that since that happened. It was absolutely breath taking to say the least. Shirley & I have talked about this many times and to this day we still can't believe that it actually happened but it sure as heck did.
I asked Linda Finton if she saw the light swaying at the church during Aunt Norma's funeral service and she said yes, she did. That as soon as the casket was rolled to the front of the church that the light started moving. I didn't notice the light moving during Grandma's service but I was told that it really swayed back and forth as Johnny Land sang beautifully to "AMAZING GRACE". Grandma used to tell me what an amazingly beautiful voice he has and I would have to say that I have NEVER heard a more beautiful voice! He did Grandma proud singing that song. That boy is beyond talented!
